Jesus Christ

By David Morsey

When the angels announced His birth, the skies were filled with His glory.

For He is the light of the world.

All the energy of the universe is from Him; He is the source of life and light.

For in Him was life. And the life was the light of men.

As the hands of God, He was the shaper of that energy into cosmic forms.

For by Him and through Him were all things created.

Through Him the Glory of God encompassed the earth, and the dwelling of God was with men.

For the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory.

And in Him is the fullness of the Godhead focused so that the Eternal Spirit, beyond the reach of time and space, was brought near to men by this one who came in human form.

For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

Bearing in His being the fullness of the Godhead, He is the Lord of the Cosmos and the King of the Universe.

For He hath on His vesture a name written, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

And He is the Savior of the World. Man’s spirit slain by rebel deed, was restored to life by the sacrifice of love.

For as in Adam, all die, so in Christ shall all be made alive.

Taking his place on the cross as the Lamb of God, by one sacrifice He covered forever the sins of man.

For He is the Lamb, of God who taketh away the sins of the world.

He is the refuge for every wanderer upon the earth, weary of the futility of life and wondering where reality is.

For He has said, "Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

He is the Prince of Peace, offering to all peace with God—a place in His family just for the asking.

For as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God.

And He is coming again to the Earth to take His family to dwell with Him forever.

For if I go away, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where. I am, there ye may be also.
